Niko Medved and the Minnesota Golden Gophers men’s basketball program have extended an offer to one of the top talents within the state in the 2026 recruiting cycle

On Monday night, the Gophers offered Wayzata small forward Nolen Anderson. The offer is the eighth for Anderson, who also holds offers from Drake, Illinois State, Illinois-Chicago, Montana, Northwest Iowa, Ohio, and Toledo.

Minnesota currently holds one commitment in the 2026 recruiting cycle from East Ridge (Saint Paul, MN) standout point guard Cedric Tomes. Tomes is ranked by Rivals as the No. 231 player in the country overall and the No. 41 point guard. Tomes is also considered the No. 5 player in the state of Minnesota.

Anderson notably plays on the D1 Minnesota (17U) travel team. Other notable members of that team include Totino-Grace’s Dothan Ijadimbola, Maple Grove’s Babocarr Ann, Fairbault’s Ryan Kreager, Storm Lake (IA)’s Jaidyn Coon, and Wayzata standout Christian Wiggins
