After going undrafted in this year’s NFL Draft, Brosmer signed with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent. This preseason, across three games, the Georgia native was highly impressive, completing 35 of 58 passing attempts for 364 yards and two touchdowns.
Brosmer, in his lone season with the Golden Gophers, played in 13 games, completing 268-of-403 passing attempts for 2,828 yards and 18 touchdowns to six interceptions.
Before his time with the Gophers, Brosmer played in 36 games for New Hampshire, completing 760-of-1,225 passes for 8,713 yards and 70 touchdowns. During his time with the Wildcats, he was an FCS All-American as well as a finalist for the Walter Payton Award in 2023, the FCS version of the Heisman.
The last quarterback to enter the NFL from the Minnesota program and appear in an NFL game was Cory Sauter in 2022. Former Gopher Chris Streveler appeared in nine games between 2020 and 2023 but did not finish his collegiate career with the program, transferring to South Dakota after the 2015 season.
