Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck and select Gophers players met with the media following the Golden Gophers’ 41-3 loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday afternoon at Kinnick Stadium. You can watch the full press conference above.
Minnesota, in the loss fell behind 7-0 on Iowa’s first offensive possession of the game, but quickly saw their deficit grow to 17-0 by the end of the first quarter in part due to a Hawkeye’s pick-six. Iowa would score twice more before halftime, including on a 50-yard punt return for a touchdown by Kaden Wetjen. The Hawkeyes added on 10 points in the second half while Minnesota’s lone score of the day came on a 33-yard field goal from Brady Denaburg at the end of the third quarter.
P.J. Fleck is now 1-8 against the Hawkeyes in his career as the head coach of the Golden Gophers.
