Minnesota QB Jackson Kollock enters transfer portal
Minnesota QB Jackson Kollock is set to enter the transfer portal, the true freshman signal-caller announced his intentions to do so on Thursday afternoon less than one year after arriving on campus.
“First off I want to thank the University of Minnesota and especially coach Fleck, Harbaugh, Nichol, the rest of the coaching staff, my teammates, and the rest the staff,” Kollock said. “After careful consideration I have decided to enter the transfer portal with 4 years of eligibility remaining.”
Kollock’s decision comes after Minnesota signed two quarterbacks in the 2026 recruiting class in Owen Lansu and Brady Palmer.
Kollock was a three-star prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle, ranked as a top-500 player overall and a top-30 quarterback in the country. Kollock committed to the Gophers over offers from California, Colorado, Oregon Stae, San Diego State, and Washington.
In his true freshman season, Kollock did not appear in any games for Minnesota.
Kollock one of five Gophers with transfer portal intents
Kollock joins wide receiver Kenrick Lanier, wide receiver Quinten Redding, offensive lineman Reese Tripp, and punter Caleb McGrath as players who have announced their intentions to transfer.
Minnesota recently completed its 2025 regular season with a 7-5 record and is awaiting its bowl destination for this month’s bowl season. The Gophers are set to begin bowl practices on Thursday.
