Final : Ohio State 42 - Minnesota 3

The Minnesota Golden Gophers took an early 3-0 lead against the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes but would surrender 42 unanswered points en route to a 42-3 loss.
The Gophers were outgained in the loss 474 to 162, with Ohio State throwing for 341 passing yards on the day, completing 24-of-28 passes in the process.
Minnesota’s offense had 66 yards of total offense on its first drive of the game, with just 96 yards of offense over its next nine drives, only crossing midfield one other time.
Minnesota falls to 3-2 (1-1) on the season and will host the Purdue Boilermakers next Saturday night.
Buckeyes find the endzone again

Sayin is 23-for-27, 326 yards, and three touchdowns. Carnell Tate has nine receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown.

Ohio State extends lead midway through third quarter
10/04/2025 08:47:46 PMThe Gophers have failed to move the ball past midfield now on six straight drives after their first drive of the second half results in a three-and-out.
On the ensuing punt, the Buckeyes pull off some trickery with a pass across the field from Brandon Inniss to Lorenzo Styles, who returns it to the Minnesota 20. It took the Buckeyes just three plays to find the endzone as Bo Jackson scored from five yards out.
Ohio State leads 28-3 with 5:45 remaining in the third.

Sayin finds Jeremiah Smith for a 6-yard touchdown, giving the Buckeyes a 14-3 lead after the extra point.

Julian Sayin is 6-for-7 for 100 yards so far. Carnell Tate has four receptions for 66 yards, and Jeremiah Smith has two for 4 yards.
Ohio State misses field goal, Gophers stay ahead early

Jalen Smith had three receptions for 19 yards. Minnesota was able to get the ball into the red zone, but was unable to punch it in, settling for a 27-yard field goal from Brady Denaburg.
