The Arkansas Razorbacks found out their SEC football schedules for the 2026-2029 seasons on Tuesday. This included officially confirming the three permanent opponents that they will face over the next four years as part of the new nine-game SEC slate.

Here’s who will be on each team’s schedule from 2026-29. Home opponents in 2026 will be away in 2028, and 2027 home opponents will be away in 2029.

2026 opponents: LSU, Missouri, at Texas, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, at Auburn, at Texas A&M, at Vanderbilt

2027 opponents: at LSU, at Missouri, Texas, Alabama, Kentucky, Ole Miss, at Florida, at Mississippi State, at Oklahoma

Three permanent opponents for four years released

On3 National College Football analyst Chris Low reported the permanent opponents for all 16 SEC teams over the next four seasons on Monday morning and that list was officially announced by the league Tuesday.

Arkansas will continue its trophy games with LSU and Missouri, while former SWC arch-rival Texas will be the third foe the Hogs will face at least through the 2029 season.

With the nine-game SEC league schedule set to take effect in 2026, “each school will have three annual opponents that will be re-evaluated every four years and six rotational opponents, meaning each school will play every other SEC school at least once every two years and every opponent home and away in a four-year span,” as Low’s initial report said. “The priorities in creating the schedules were protecting traditional rivalries, competitive fairness, rotational frequency and ensuring a home and away balance with a Power 4 non-conference opponent for the 2026 season.”

Breakdown on series history with three opponents

The Razorbacks first played LSU in 1901, but began playing for the Golden Boot in 1996, four years removed from when Arkansas joined the SEC.

LSU leads the overall series with Arkansas 45-23-2, plus has an 20-9 advantage since the Golden Boot came into the picture. The Tigers have also beaten the Tigers for three straight years.

The Battle Line Rivalry (presented by Shelter Insurance) with Missouri also remains in-tact, giving the Hogs an opportunity to catch up in a series the Tigers have dominated.

Missouri owns a commanding 12-4 all-time advantage over the Hogs, including a perfect 7-0 at home, including the past three matchups.

Since the Battle Line Trophy was created prior to the 2014 season, Arkansas has won it twice (2015 and 2021).

Finally, Arkansas will continue playing Texas, a team Razorback fans have loathed for generations. Texas has dominated the all-time series 57-23, but the Hogs have fared much better against Texas in the 21st century.

While the Longhorns did takedown the Hogs 20-10 last fall in Texas’ first SEC season, Arkansas is 4-3 against them since the turn of the millennium.
