2025 Huskerland Top 225: Class D-1 Seniors No. 31-37

- Hayden Sich, TE-LB, Arapahoe. 6-0, 180. Other stats NA. Twice named all-district, he’s a great blocker who will see more of the ball on offense, last season collecting 51 tackles and 12 TFLs on defense. Talented kid who will step into a leading role and respond well.
- (tie) Logan Nelson, FB-LB, Wisner-Pilger. 5-10, 195. Other stats NA. Regan Raabe, L-DL, Wisner-Pilger. 6-5, 250. Other stats NA. Logan is your classic FB-LB combination player, leading the team with 104 tackles (no surprise, he’s got 269 for his career) and rushing for 420 yards and five TDs. Regan has started putting it all together, anchoring both Wisner-Pilger lines, collecting 41 tackles, 7 TFL. Could well have a huge (pun intended) 2025 season.
- Maverik Smith, G-LB, Guardian Angels Central Catholic. 5-9, 200. Other stats NA. Last man standing from last year’s team, which went unbeaten through the first round of the playoffs, and he’s a good one. Twice named all-district, last season Maverik finished with 62 tackles, 7 TFL, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
- Wyatt Case, G-DE, Johnson County Central. 6-7, 220. Bench – 220, Squat – 400, 40 – 4.81. For starters, the kid has a seven-foot wingspan. If that’s not trouble enough he’s fast for his size, even after putting some weight (read: power) in the off-season. Has knack for batting the ball down at the LOS (9 PBU), unless he’s making the tackle (88 total, 4 sacks, 3 FR, one for a TD).
- Tucker Matthies, RB-DB, Clarkson/Leigh. 6-1, 170. Other stats NA. After playing several offensive positions the Patriots hope to keep Tucker at running back, where he’ll be lethal, last season rushing for 672 yards and 10 TDs, catching eight passes for 211 yards and a TD, adding 31 tackles on defense.
- Logan Levick, RB-DB, Bridgeport. 6-3, 190. Bench – 235, Squat – 345, 40 – 4.9. A transfer from six-man Garden County, Logan made a smooth transition on both sides of the ball. All-district (also a sophomore), he rushed for 690 yards and 13 TDs, caught 29 passes for 338 yards and four TDs, notching 58 tackles and five interceptions on defense.
- Josh Arens, TE-LB, Stanton. 6-3, 200. Bench – 240, Squat – 460, 40 – 4.9. Returning all-district player, Josh is a talented receiver who will see more passes come his way this fall, and he’s already established himself as a superior defender. One of the cornerstone players on one our best D-1 teams.
