Nebraska’s regular season is officially over, but the college football season rolls on.

The Huskers finished 7-5 and now await their bowl game destination. Based on Inside Nebraska’s projections following their loss to Iowa, the Huskers are destined for either the Las Vegas Bowl or the Music City Bowl.

It appears that the most likely destination for Nebraska will be Las Vegas, rather than Nashville. Of course, we will find out officially after this weekend.

It’s college football’s conference championship week.

Nothing will change after the games play out on Friday and Saturday, in terms of the Huskers’ own bowl game destination. Nevertheless, an official bowl game announcement will not be made until sometime after the reveal of the College Football Playoff bracket on Sunday.

Until then, we still have a set of big-time games to check out.

In addition to the TV Guide, the Inside Nebraska crew is continuing its weekly staff picks for the college football weekend. Our crew of publisher Zack Carpenter, staff writer Steve Marik and recruiting analyst Tim Verghese dishes out picks against the spread for 10 CFB games every week – picking our ATS winners in each Nebraska game every week, a handful of matchups featuring Big Ten teams and a selection of other intriguing games from around the country.

With the Huskers not slated to play until late December, this week is all about the national scene and the Big Ten Championship Game.
