COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Game day is here, Nebraska fans. East Coast style, too.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers (4-1 overall, 1-1 Big Ten) will take on the Maryland Terrapins (4-1, 1-1) at SECU Stadium in College Park, Md., today at 2:30 p.m.

The game will be televised by the Big Ten Network with Guy Haberman, Jake Butt and Brooke Fletcher on the call.

These two teams are coming off drastically different outcomes last week. Nebraska defended Memorial Stadium with a 38-27 win in a contest the Huskers dominated in the fourth quarter, where they scored 17 points. Maryland, on the other hand, did not defend its home field against Washington. The Terps led 20-0 late in the third quarter but couldn’t finish. The Huskies rallied with 24 unanswered points to hand Maryland a 24-20 loss, its first of the season.

With there being a chance of rain for the game, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule said he had his team practicing with wet footballs this week.

“We did wet-ball stuff during the course of week. We much prefer rain to wind,” Rhule said on Thursday. “So the rain, we practice outside here, we never go inside, so we pretty much prepare for it all year. But we did do wet balls this week just to be prepared for it.”
