Live Game Thread: Nebraska at Penn State

Game day has arrive, Husker fans.

Nebraska is at Penn State looking for its eighth win of the regular season, something that hasn’t been done since 2016.

The Nittany Lions, led by interim head coach Terry Smith, who Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule once hired from the Pennsylvania high school ranks to coach his receivers at Temple in 2013, are looking for their fifth victory. They need two more wins to become bowl eligible.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. and be televised by NBC with Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge and Kathryn Tappen on the call.

The Huskers’ availability report is out:

The only surprise on it was kickoff returner Kenneth Williams being listed as questionable.

Williams, a Lincoln (Neb.) High graduate, has taken 12 returns for 395 yards this season, averaging 32.9 yards per return. He’s returned one kickoff for a touchdown and returned another 95 yards.

If Williams can’t go tonight, look for true freshman Isaiah Mozee to fill in returning kickoffs.
