WATCH: Dana Holgorsen, John Butler + Dylan Raiola look back at Michigan State win, preview Maryland

Maryland Week is here. Nebraska football will play its first Big Ten road opponent, and first true road game, in just four days.
Year 3 of the Matt Rhule Era – the most pivotal of his tenure thus far as the Huskers’ head coach – began with a crucial season-opening win over Big 12 opponent Cincinnati in Week 1 (20-17) before back-to-back blowout wins against overmatched opponents from the MAC (68-0 over Akron) and the FCS (59-7 over Houston Christian.
Then, the Huskers took their 3-0 record into conference play, and it has been an even split. Nebraska was disappointing in its 30-27 loss to Top-25 foe Michigan in Week 4. But following their bye week, the Huskers righted the ship a bit with a 38-27 victory over Michigan State.
The loss to the Wolverines spoiled a hot start in which Nebraska began the year 3-0 for the second straight season – the first time the Huskers had accomplished back-to-back marks of at least 3-0 since the 2010 and 2011 seasons when the Huskers started 5-0 and 4-0, respectively.
Still, Rhule’s crew rebounded with an important victory over the Spartans and now march into their Week 7 matchup at Maryland (4-1, 1-1 Big Ten) holding a 4-1 overall record and a 1-1 mark in the Big Ten.
Nebraska will get a chance to restart a winning streak and keep things rolling on Saturday against head coach Mike Locksley, quarterback Malik Washington and the Terrapins. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. Central Time at SECU Stadium in College Park, Md. on Big Ten Network.
