Nebraska football is 4-1 and moving onto Week 7.

After starting the season with a 3-0 mark – via a 20-17 season-opening win over Cincinnati, a 68-0 domination of MAC opponent Akron and a 59-7 blowout over FCS team Houston Christian – they weren’t able to get the job done against Michigan in a disappointing 30-27 loss at home.

Now, though, the Huskers (4-1, 1-1 Big Ten) have a bit of momentum back on their side following Saturday’s 38-27 victory over Michigan State (3-2, 0-2). Nebraska went ahead 14-0 midway through the first quarter but fell behind after allowing 21 unanswered points.

Then, head coach Matt Rhule’s crew showed resolve. Trailing by seven with less than three minutes remaining in the third quarter, the Huskers rattled off 24 unanswered points of their own to take a commanding 38-21 lead – before allowing a late touchdown to walk away with a 38-27 win.

Next up for Rhule and Co. is their first true road test.

Nebraska will hit a flight to the East Coast in Week 7, heading to College Park, Md. for a Big Ten battle at Maryland (Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Central Time on Big Ten Network) to face the Terrapins (4-1, 1-1 Big Ten).

Maryland jumped out to a 4-0 start and looked poise for a fifth straight win to begin the season. Now, however, the Terps are reeling after surrendering a 20-0 lead at home, giving up 24 consecutive points to Washington last week in a 24-20 loss.
