WATCH: Nebraska-Northwestern postgame press conference with Matt Rhule, Dylan Raiola + more

Nebraska football is 6-2.
Final score: Nebraska 28, Northwestern 21
The Huskers began the season by rattling off consecutive wins over Cincinnati, Akron and Houston Christian for a 3-0 start. Then came the Week 4 showdown with Michigan in the Big Ten opener, which ended in yet another disappointing loss for this Nebraska program in a big game.
The Huskers rebounded, though, against the other B1G team from the Wolverine State in a win over Michigan State. Then, they came back in the fourth quarter for a victory over Maryland that appeared to be a galvanizing win for Matt Rhule’s program.
Those two bounce-back victories against MSU and UMD paved the way for Nebraska to earn its way into the national AP Top 25 poll for the first time this season. Things took a sharp turn, though, less than seven days later when Nebraska looked lifeless on the road at Minnesota in a 24-6 Friday night loss – just the latest Husker defeat under a national spotlight.
On Saturday, the Huskers (6-2 overall, 3-2 Big Ten) had a chance to right some wrongs from that dreadful showing in Minneapolis. Ultimately, they got the job done over a much better-than-expected Northwestern team (5-3, 3-2) that had an over/under win total set at just 3.5 entering the season.
