WATCH: Matt Rhule, TJ Lateef postgame press conference after Nebraska-UCLA

Matt Rhule and the Nebraska football program are 7-3.
Final score: Nebraska 28, UCLA 21
Rhule and the Huskers began the season by rattling off consecutive wins over Cincinnati, Akron and Houston Christian for a 3-0 start. Then came the disappointing Week 4 loss to Michigan followed by bounce-back victories over Michigan State and Maryland before another disheartening loss to Minnesota.
After Rhule and the Huskers earned their way into the national AP Top 25 poll on the back of that 5-1 start, things took a sharp turn for them in that lifeless loss to the Golden Gophers.
The Huskers rebounded again by outlasting Northwestern to set up a national spotlight showdown with USC, but they let that massive opportunity slip away as well.
When the dust of it all settled, Rhule and Nebraska (7-3 overall, 3-3 Big Ten) picked themselves up, battled through the adversity and secured their best regular-season record since 2016 when the Huskers finished 9-3 with the win over the Bruins (3-6, 3-3).
Now, this team has set itself up with an opportunity to match that 2016 group with two more games remaining – on the road at Penn State on Nov. 22 and the Black Friday matchup with Iowa at home on Nov. 28.
