A top Nebraska target is on flip watch, the Huskers are trending for an elite local defensive back and heading to the season, recruiting is ramping back up.

Can Nebraska flip four-star LB Jordan Campbell

Nebraska remains in pursuit of a handful of 2026 targets to put a bow on the class and are working to get a head start on top 2027 targets.

This week, Rivals’ Chad Simmons shared his thoughts on a handful of “Flip Targets” for teams around the country including Miami four-star linebacker commit Jordan Campbell. Rivals’ Greg Smith input a prediction for the Huskers to land elite 2027 Omaha (Neb.) Central safety Tory Pittman III.

Jordan Campbell has long been committed to Miami, the local program, but he still keeps other programs warm through visits and communication. He is one who could get out for visits this season. Nebraska is a program we continue to monitor. Campbell is considering an official visit to Lincoln and he likes the Huskers’ staff. Auburn, Georgia and Missouri are a few others to watch. The four-star prospect is like part of the family in Coral Gables, and programs have unsuccessfully tried for months to change his mind.”

Tim’s Take: Campbell announced he was shutting down his recruitment after his official visit to Miami in June, cancelling scheduled visits to Nebraska and Missouri.
