Recruiting Blitz: Nebraska pursuing 2026 targets, blue-chip flips

With a break between home games, Inside Nebraska’s Tim Verghese breaks down what’s left for Nebraska in the 2026 cycle, from uncommitted targets still on the board to top flip targets across the country.
Nebraska is pursuing an intriguing three-star EDGE, an athlete with ties to a top commit and a recent Michigan State recommit. The Huskers are also still working to flip Virginia WR commit Josiah Teasley, Syracuse four-star EDGE commit Kamron Wilson and Florida State four-star safety commit Tedarius Hughes, plus a few more as Verghese discusses in the show.

Nebraska currently holds eleven commits in the 2026 cycle, expected to take a much smaller class this cycle, and have just a handful of spots remaining. As the staff puts the finishing touches on the class, the Huskers are being quite picky with who they bring on campus and who they make a serious effort for.
Here’s an updated look at where Nebraska stands with top flip targets, names to track the remainder of the season and needs the Huskers still have to address before Signing Day.
Nebraska offered two 2026 wide receivers committed elsewhere in Springfield (Va.) The St. James Academy three-star Josiah Teasley and former Iowa State four-star commit Milan Parris in recent weeks. The Huskers got Teasley on campus this past weekend, but are unlikely to get Parris on campus, who has since decommitted from Iowa State. With Oklahoma, Oregon and Miami battling it out for Parris, Nebraska is keyed in on Teasley as their sole remaining wide receiver target in the 2026 class. A big-framed outside receiver at 6-foot-4 with the speed to stretch the field, Teasley fits the mold of Quinn Clark and Keelan Smith in Nebraska’s receiver room.
Nebraska has already hosted Miami (Fla.) Southridge four-star EDGE commit Kamron Wilson for an official visit and have held momentum in this recruitment multiple times, but have yet to pull off the flip. The Syracuse commit was initially expected to visit for the Michigan game, but didn’t make it into town. He’s still expected to visit Nebraska this year. He was at Florida State over the weekend and plans to visit UCF as well. Current intel favors the Seminoles, as the opportunity to stay closer to home is intriguing to the productive pass-rusher. That said, the Orange have invested in making him feel like a priority and he’s had multiple chances to decommit and/or flip and hasn’t. If Nebraska does in fact get Wilson back on campus, they can’t be counted out, but the chances the Huskers pull off this flip are significantly slimmer now than they were coming out of his official visit to Nebraska in June.
