WATCH: Matt Rhule, players postgame press conference after Nebraska beats brakes off Akron

Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule and the Huskers are 2-0 and moving onto Houston Christian.
Final score: Nebraska 68, Akron 0
A dominant demolition of a victory for the Huskers, who followed up the season-opening win by one score over Cincinnati, 20-17, at Arrowhead Stadium with a nine-touchdown outpouring of their MAC opponent Zips (0-2).
Certainly, it could be worse. Instead, Nebraska is 2-0 to begin the 2025 season.
Now, Rhule and the Huskers will get to work gearing up for a Week 3 non-conference matchup with FCS opponent Houston Christian next Saturday inside Memorial Stadium (11:00 a.m. CT on FS1).
Long before that, though, Rhule was made available after the Huskers’ win over Akron to give his thoughts in the postgame press conference.
In addition to Rhule, a handful of players also took the podium at the postgame presser to break down the blowout victory and what it means going forward:
>> QB Dylan Raiola (who finished 24-of-31 through the air for a 77% completion percentage, 364 yards passing and four touchdowns with no turnovers)
>> RB Emmett Johnson (14 carries for 140 yards rushing and two touchdowns at a clip of 10.0 yards per carry, plus a pair of receptions for seven yards and one touchdown)
>> WR Nyziah Hunter (four catches for 82 yards)
>> JACK linebacker Dasan McCullough (two solo tackles including his first sack as a Husker)
>> And the man of the hour: TE Luke Lindenmeyer (who hauled in all three targets for 44 yards and one touchdown … then got engaged after proposing to his girlfriend on the field following Saturday night’s game).
Watch and listen to Rhule, Raiola, Johnson, Hunter, McCullough and Lindenmeyer speak at the postgame press conference via the videos below.
