Travis Goff gives thoughts on basketball, football attendance, much more

Kansas athletic director Travis Goff expressed optimism about both basketball programs while discussing the department’s momentum at Big 12 basketball media day. He is excited to watch Brandon Schneider’s team, with a mix of veteran leadership and a strong freshman class. He called the program’s path and recruiting “a heck of a formula.”
On the men’s side, Goff said Bill Self is “as healthy and energized as ever,” noting the impact of new assistants, and several new players to the program.
Goff also detailed efforts to build sustained fan engagement, talking about the attendance in women’s basketball and the sellout for the upcoming Sunflower Showdown as signs of continued momentum. He said the department has managed dynamic pricing and ticket demand carefully to ensure growth.
He discussed the football game in London next season and continues working to move the Middle Tennessee State game to Week Zero.
