Mizzou slips to 16 in AP Poll

For the first time this season, the Missouri Tigers lost. And for the first time this season, Mizzou slipped in the AP Poll.
A loss to now-No. 6 Alabama sent the Tigers from No. 14 to No. 16.
The Tigers also fell from No. 14 to No. 16 in the Coaches Poll.
Missouri opened the season receiving votes in the AP Poll and slowly climbed each week. The Tigers entered the rankings at No. 25 after Week 2, then rose to No. 23 after Week 3 and No. 20 after Week 4. They climbed to No. 19 after beating UMass in Week 5 and jumped to No. 14 following a bye week with a number of top teams losing in front of them.
The Tigers weren’t the only team to fall this week.
Formerly-No. 6 Oklahoma lost the Red River Rivalry to unranked Texas and dropped to 14. Texas, after one week out of the rankings, re-entered at No. 21.
Formerly-No. 4 Ole Miss barely survived unranked Washington State and dropped to 5.
Previously-No. 3 Oregon dropped to No. 8 after losing to previously-No. 7 Indiana, which jumped to No. 3.
The biggest fall of the week was Oklahoma dropping nine spots.
The biggest rise of the week was South Florida rising five spots.
