Scouting Report: Mizzou adds fluid athlete with commitment from Aidan Chronister

Missouri bolstered its 2026 recruiting class again Sunday.
Following his official visit over the weekend, Aidan Chronister committed to the Tigers. The Fayetteville (Ark.) The New School small forward marked the third pledge for the program and second in the past three weeks. Chronister, a four-star, ranks No. 98 in the Rivals Industry Ranking.
“Aidan Chronister has a great frame, projectable with legit size,” said Jamie Shaw, the senior national basketball recruiting analyst at On3 | Rivals. “He has fluid athleticism. In theory, shooting is his thing. At his size, the hope is that he can pull gravity beyond the arc. He is going to have to work through the balance points of his shooting platform to become a more consistent shooter at this point.”
Missouri raved about Chronister’s ability to shoot the lights out. The Tigers felt great about where they stood with Chronister during his visit this weekend. The family joined the entire staff on the field pregame of the football program’s Week 4 matchup with South Carolina.
“Added strength will be necessary, especially in his base, continuing to develop his game outside of catch and shoot, maybe with one and two dribble pull up,” Shaw added. “At his best, he is moving around in the half court, hunting his areas on the floor to pull gravity as a shooter. The next step is turning that theoretical shooting into consistent production.”
Chronister joined Rivals Industry five-star shooting guard Jason Crowe Jr. (No. 9 nationally) and four-star power forward Toni Bryant (No. 18). Crowe officially visited the second weekend in September after Bryant’s trip the first weekend, when he pledged to the Tigers. Missouri remains atop the 2026 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
