Scouting Report: New Mizzou commit Toni Bryant boasts 'excellent physical tools'

With key forwards exhausting eligibility after this upcoming season, Missouri knew it needed an impact high schooler in the 2026 class.
As coach Dennis Gates put the Tigers among top lists of national recruits, one name continued to emerge more and more: Toni Bryant. A Class of 2026 four-star power forward, Bryant committed to Missouri on Monday, following his official visit.
“When Toni Bryant is at his best, he is running from the front of the rim to the front of the rim,” Rivals senior national basketball recruiting analyst Jamie Shaw said. “At a lengthy 6-foot-10, he is a twitchy athlete and he can guard multiple spots when he is locked in.”
That size will bode well for a Missouri team expected to lose forwards Jacob Crews, Mark Mitchell and Jevon Porter after this season. While the program will still assess needs in the transfer portal, the Tigers got another impact freshman in Bryant.
“Bryant has excellent physical tools and there is some upside there if he is able to consolidate his game, learn his comfortable spots on the floor, and go from there,” Shaw said. “When the motor is running hot, he can be a versatile defensive presence.”
Junior forward Trent Pierce and freshman forward Nicholas Randall will both have eligibility remaining ahead of 2026. Bryant, the No. 33 overall player in the Rivals150 standing 6-foot-10, 215 pounds, still has parts of his game to clean up.
“He has shown a tendency to float in and out of games, consistently going long stretches with minimal production,” Shaw added. “He has tried to show an ability on the perimeter, where he does have some touch, but he hasn’t been able to create consistent advantages there yet.”
