The spread for Rutgers Football’s opening game against Ohio later this month has seen a bit of a change in the odds recently according to BetMGM.

Originally the Scarlet Knights opened up as 10.5-point favorites back in late May, but recently BetMGM made the call to up the spread a bit, as they are now considered 14-point favorites.

This shouldn’t be all that surprising considering the Bobcats have to replace a long list of players who either graduated or left via the Transfer Portal, while also working in a new head coach as well in former Offensive Coordinator Brian Smith.

Along with the change in the spread, there’s been a change in the over / under points total too. Previously we never had one, but with the updated line, BetMGM has set the total for the season opener at 46.5 points.

Here are the other Rutgers Football betting options that are currently available:

To win the Big Ten Championship: Rutgers is +25000, which is considered the fourth highest odds only ahead of Maryland (+30000), Northwestern (+50000), and Purdue (+50000).

Regular season win total: The over/under sits at 5.5. It is -160 to hit the over and +135 to hit the under. The outcome of the Iowa game in the middle of September could play an early factor on if this line will hit or not.

To make the Big Ten title game: The Scarlet Knights +8000 to make their first ever Big Ten title game.

To go undefeated in Big Ten play: Rutgers is at +20000 to do this.
