Everything Rutgers Football HC Greg Schiano said following Saturday's second scrimmage

Rutgers Football head coach Greg Schiano met with the media again today following the second scrimmage of Training Camp, as he got another chance to see what his 2025 roster looks like in a simulated game situation.
News / Notes from the Press Conference
- Greg Schiano said that they worked on a lot of situational material today, with some guys doing just the situational stuff and sitting out the remainder of the scrimmage.
- He mentioned there’s still some competition going on for both backup spots and starter spots.
- Schiano said that they have some guys who got bumped that they still need to return. He mentioned that some will return on Monday and others will return some time before kickoff. He said it will be a challenge to put together the 2 1/2 deep with some of those guys banged up, but will do so after rewatching today’s scrimmage.
- Greg was asked about the left tackle spot and mentioned guys have injected themselves into the picture and clouded the picture a bit more, but says that’s good for depth.
