Piscataway, NJ — Welcome back to game day, Rutgers Football fans! The Scarlet Knights will take the field later today when the Iowa Hawkeyes comes to town for the first Big Ten Conference game of the season.

“When you look at them, it’s a really good football team,” Head Coach Greg Schiano said on Monday. “Quarterback Gronkowski is a proven winner, national champion, two times over, has just won, I think, more games than anybody else. Maybe there’s one guy who’s won more games than him as a starting quarterback. And certainly, you can see the improvement each week, getting more and more comfortable with their system. You look at their offensive line, it’s big, strong, athletic, as you’re accustomed to Iowa’s offensive line. Really well-coached, again. It’s gonna be interesting how they attack us. But big challenge for our defense. Their defense is, again, you talk about consistency, it’s been a top defense over the last 10 years, under 20 points a game over the last 10 years.”
