This summer, Rutgers Athletics made a new deal with Nike official on July 1st and with that several Scarlet Knights athletics programs have shown off some of their new apparel and swag.

Recently, the Rutgers Basketball program played host to one of the top recruits in the country in 2026 forward Davion Adkins and with the visit came a photoshoot with him in a Rutgers uniform. However it wasn’t just any other Scarlet Knights uniform, it was their new look Nike uniforms, featuring the swoosh logo for the first time since the 2016-17 season.

The new look Scarlet Knights uniforms have some minors changes to them, the main difference being the trim around the uniform. Previously it was a black and white stripe that went up and down the side of both the jersey and the shorts, but it is now strictly a white outline.

Along with the difference in trim, the apparel sponsor logo goes from the center of the chest, where it was for Adidas to the upper right chest near the collarbone. Last, but not least the color is also slightly different, as this year’s Scarlet Knights uniforms across all sports debut a slightly brighter red as opposed to last season.

Since Head Coach Steve Pikiell took over as the leader of the program going on 10 years ago, there’s been multiple variations of the Rutgers scarlet uniforms. You can see every version of the Scarlet Knights red uniforms during the Pikiell era below.

As for when Rutgers Basketball will debut these new look Nike uniforms? The Scarlet Knights kick off the 2025-26 season on Wednesday, November 5th, as they will welcome the Rider Broncs to Jersey Mike’s Arena.
