Which Rutgers Basketball players will attend Big Ten Media Days in October?
Rutgers Basketball has announced the two Scarlet Knights that will attend the 2025 Big Ten Media Days out in Rosemont, Illinois with point guard Jamichael Davis and forward Dylan Grant all set to join head coach Steve Pikiell on October 8th and 9th for the multi-day event inside of the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
For each of these players, it will be their first time that either play will attend the event. However it shouldn’t be all that shocking to see either of these guys on the list, as they are make up two of the four returning players from last year’s roster. Also the duo have been serious contributors last season and both are expected to once again be key contributors this upcoming season.
Starting with Davis, he’s appeared in 63 games (21 starts) over the past two seasons with the Scarlet Knights, while averaging 5.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game in an average of 20.5 minutes per game. Davis is expected to see an increase in minutes this season, as he’s the odds on favorite to run the offense.
Davis will be joined by forward Dylan Grant, who enters his second season with the program. The Canadian native joined the Scarlet Knights as a member of the star studded 2024 recruiting class, which featured former five-stars and now NBA rookies Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper. Grant ended up missing his senior year of high school basketball, so it took him some time early on to get acclimated, but became a full fledged starter later on last season. He appeared in 21 games (16 starts) as a true freshman last season, while averaging 5.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks per game.
For live coverage of the Media Day events, stay tuned to the The Big Ten Network who will go live starting at 12:00pm ET.
Rutgers Basketball will open the 2025-26 season on Wednesday, November 5th, as they will welcome fellow in-state school Rider to Jersey Mike’s Arena. Tip-off is still to be determined.
