This past weekend, Rutgers Football suffered their fourth loss in a row, as they were destroyed by Oregon and lost by a score of 56-10. The Scarlet Knights are still looking for their first Big Ten victory of the 2025 season.

On the flip side, Purdue also suffered a loss this past Saturday as the Northwestern Wildcats traveled to West Lafayette and walked away with a 19-0 victory. The Boilermakers remained at two wins on the year, defeating Ball State and Southern Illinois to open the season.

This matchup between Rutgers and Purdue next week will be the third ever between the two programs, as the Scarlet Knights hold both victories in the series. The most recent game took place back in 2020 and Rutgers ended up winning 37-30 out in West Lafayette.
