Rutgers Football reveals new Blackout uniforms for Iowa game

This offseason, Rutgers Athletics made their new deal with Nike official on July 1st and with that several Scarlet Knights athletics programs have shown off some of their new apparel and swag.
One of the newest changes was the Nike logo appearing on the football uniforms, as there were some minor tweaks done to the uniforms as the color is a bit brighter than years past. However for the most part, the uniforms looked very similar to the 2024 Adidas version.
On Monday afternoon, the Rutgers Football program released another new set of uniforms, as they debuted their new look all black uniforms for the upcoming Blackout game versus Iowa on Friday night.
The Scarlet Knights new look uniforms look a lot like their previous ones, but the Big Ten Conference logo goes from white to black and of course they replaces the three stripes with the Nike swoosh. Other than that, the majority of the uniform remains mostly the same..
The new black helmet, black uniform and black pants combo with the Nike logo on them can be seen in the tweet below.
The Scarlet Knights will debut these new look blackout uniforms on Friday, September 18th in a primetime matchup, as they will welcome the Iowa Hawkeyes to SHI Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:00pm and the game will be televised on FOX.
