Clemson drops out of AP Poll

CLEMSON — Clemson is no longer a top 25-ranked team in the Associated Press Poll. The poll was updated and released Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers (1-2) slid from No. 12 to unranked on Sunday after losing to Georgia Tech (24-21) on a last-second, 55-yard field goal in Atlanta on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets (3-0) made their debut in the poll with a No. 18 ranking.

Clemson, with 17 returning starters from last year’s 10-win team that won the Atlantic Coast Conference and made a return to the College Football Playoff, began the season with a No. 4 ranking in the AP Poll. In addition, the Tigers were lined favorites in each of their first three contests.

Clemson will return to Death Valley to host Syracuse (2-1) next Saturday. The game will kick off at noon and air on ESPN.
