Clemson flips East Carolina DL commit
Clemson has plucked a late addition to its signing class.
Fort Mill (S.C.) Indian Land defensive end Mike Foster has flipped from East Carolina to the Tigers.
He becomes the 20th signee for Clemson’s recruiting class.

Clemson became back in the market for a high school defensive end when Buford (Ga.) four-star Dre Quinn decommitted in September.
As Greenville (S.C.)’s Frank Whitley trended toward Florida State, Tigerillustrated.com first-reported Foster (6-1, 235) as the next candidate to know at the position in our Oct. 20 Insider.

The Tigers would offer two weeks later. West Virginia offered that week as well.
Foster pledged to ECU in July over offers from Ohio, Kent State, Richmond, Yale and S.C. State.
Louisville, Illinois and South Carolina kicked the tires on his recruitment late in the fall.
Clemson’s staff had his name filed away, though, having gotten a close look at him during the summer.

Foster competed at the full three-day session of the Dabo Swinney Camp.
He intended to withhold signing this week and carry his recruitment into February.

But funny how those plans can change at the last minute.
Tigerillustrated.com continues to expect Clemson to go to the transfer portal to address its immediate needs at the position, likely targeting as many as two acquisitions.
