Based on power rankings from Brad Powers, of Bet the Board Podcast, those five programs enter the 2025 season projected as favorites in each of their 12 regular-season games, McMurphy wrote on Tuesday.
“The projections can (and will) change based on the actual on-the-field results,” McMurphy added.
Clemson, the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference favorite, is not only expected to be favored in each of its 12 regular season contests, but also a double-digit favorite in nine of those games.
The Tigers will open the 2025 season on August 30 in Death Valley as a 4-point favorite over likely preseason top 10 pick LSU. Also, preliminary estimates have the Tigers as a 6-point favorite over Louisville and a 4.5-point favorite over rival South Carolina. Clemson will face the Cardinals in Louisville on Friday, November 14 and the Gamecocks in Columbia on November 29.
Clemson, which returns 17 starters and projected defensive end starter Will Heldt from the transfer portal, finished the 2024 season with 10 wins and another conference title.
