Where Clemson's recruiting class stands two weeks before the season opener
Two weeks from today No. 4 Clemson will kick off its 2025 football season with a primetime showdown vs. No. 9 LSU in Death Valley.
Clemson is still in the midst of August camp, though prior to preseason practices the Tigers enjoyed a productive summer on the recruiting trail.
So where does the class stand two weeks before the season opener?

As of today Rivals bills Clemson’s recruiting class at No. 14 nationally. The Tigers carry 21 verbal commitments with 13 of those pledges holding a four-star billing.
Clemson trails only Miami’s No. 10 ranking in the Atlantic Coast Conference. USC, Georgia, Oregon, Notre Dame, Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, LSU and Ohio State are ahead of the Hurricanes respectively to complete the top 10.

Michigan, Florida and Tennessee sit just ahead of Clemson respectively, while Florida State, Penn State, South Carolina, North Carolina, Washington and Ole Miss round out the top 20 respectively.
Clemson isn’t likely done with its 2026 class, as more needs could be addressed later this fall, both in and out of the NCAA Transfer Portal. And Clemson’s coaches continue to talk with numerous 2026 prospects.
