Hampton Crabbers Defeat Denbigh

The Hampton Crabbers returned to play in the Peninsula District, looking for a win after suffering their first defeat last week at Glen Allen. Junior quarterback Marcus Chapman threw a touchdown and had two rushing touchdowns as Hampton cruised to a 49-13 win over the Denbigh Patriots.
Senior Casey Lassiter added a touchdown run and a touchdown reception for the Crabbers, who improved to 4-1. The Crabbers have been road warriors with four of their first five games on the road. Now the script flips as they finish the season with 4 of 5 games at Darling Stadium in Hampton, Virginia.
Senior Quarzel Frazier returned the opening second-half kickoff 74 yards for a touchdown, and Hampton led 29-7. Chapman exited the game after scoring his second touchdown late in the 3rd quarter. He had 50 yards rushing and 109 yards passing.
Junior Montrell Harrison added a 15-yard touchdown run, and running back Sidney Johnson ran the ball well, finishing with over 100 yards rushing. Davion Perry had two catches for 40 yards, including a 31-yard reception that turned into a 46-yard gain after a personal foul penalty on Denbigh.
Denbigh quarterback Kevin Parker connected with Jyran Evans for a touchdown and found Jashon Mcyntire for a 33-yard touchdown reception. Evans had five receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown while delivering a few potent hits from the safety position.
