Private Top 10 after Week 3

1. Benedictine Cadets (3-0)
Cadets move into the top spot after posting their 3rd straight shutout to start the season. Coastal Carolina commit JoJo Johnson scored three touchdowns, and Manny Evans had a pick-six for a touchdown.

2. Trinity Episcopal Titans (3-0)
The Titans had no trouble defeating the previous #1, Woodberry Forest, to move up to #2 in my rankings. Penn State commit Davion Brown is an early VISAA Player of the Year candidate, having scored four rushing touchdowns on just nine carries while averaging 30.8 yards per reception. He also has a 90-yard kickoff return.
3. St. Christopher’s Saints (3-0)
St Christopher’s won their home opener and moved to 3-0 after defeating Bullis 17-0. Bullis. Chase Roberts threw a touchdown pass and also had a rushing touchdown. Roberts had 107 yards passing and 65 yards rushing.

4. Woodberry Forest Tigers (1-1)
The Tigers lost their 1st game since the 2023 season in their matchup with Trinity Episcopal. They are missing 3-star lineman JR Saunders, who was an All-State player on both sides of the ball last year.
5. Collegiate Cougars (3-0)
Collegiate is undefeated with three easy wins to start the season. They are averaging 34 points per game and have two shutouts.
6. North Cross Raiders (2-1)
North Cross had a bye in week 3.
7. Blue Ridge Barons (2-1)
The Barons were blown out by Benedictine, but still should compete for the DII playoffs. Blue Ridge, which had to replace seven All-State offensive performers, was last shut out in 2019 against Goochland.
8. Norfolk Academy Bulldogs (3-0)
The Bulldogs defeated Atlantic Shores and will face undefeated St Christopher’s on Friday. Senior Davis Steadman has thrown for 350 yards and four touchdowns in three games, while Courtland Simmons has 370 yards rushing with four touchdowns.

9. St. Anne’s-Belfield Saints (3-0)
The Saints are averaging 45 points per game in their three wins, led by offensive stars running back Jonah Brent, junior quarterback Haden Morris, and wide receiver Chase Miller. In two road wins, but will travel on the road for the 1st time against Fork Union.
10. St Michael’s Warriors (1-2)
The Warriors defeated WCAC Metro champion Paul VI for their 1st win of the season. St. Michael has played a championship-caliber schedule, starting the season with a state title game rematch against two-time defending state champion Benedictine and a North Cross team that has played in the last three State championship games.
