We’re down to 50 undefeated teams left in Virginia High School Football on the public school scene as we head into the final weekend of September.

The classification with the largest representation is Class 4, where there are 12 schools without a blemish as the likes of Churchland, Hampton, Lafayette, Phoebus, Caroline, Dinwiddie, Hanover, Louisa, Loudoun County, Loudoun Valley, Jefferson Forest and John Handley have yet to be beaten.

What class has the fewest unbeatens? That would be a tie between Class 1 and Class 3 with six apiece. Ironically enough, there is not an undefeated team remaining in Region 3A or Region 1B.

There are a lot of big matchups across the state before turning the calendar over to October. In the Commonwealth District, two teams that figure to be contending for the Region 6B crown square off when Colonial Forge (4-0) hosts North Stafford (3-1).

In the Seminole District, two-time defending State Champ Liberty Christian travels to Jefferson Forest, which has diplayed a top-notch defense in surrendering just 22 points through its first four victories.

The Tidewater has some compelling matchups as King’s Fork puts its undefeated record on the line against defending Class 6 State Champ Oscar Smith in a Southeastern District showdown, Bay Rivers District unbeatens Lafayette and Poquoson square off, and Warwick tries to end the 51-game winning streak of the Phoebus Phantoms.

Below you can find the latest spreadsheet table + rankings for all six classifications that include hyperlinks to our in-depth team previews if you happened to miss any of them from our countdown during the month of August.
