VHSL Releases 2025 Master Football Schedule

The initial 2025 Master Football Schedule has been released.

Please note that the schedule is subject to change. The anticipated final release date to incorporate updates and corrections is during the week of August 4-August 8.

All DSA’s and athletic directors are encouraged to take the time to review their team’s schedule and send any updates or corrections to Carrie Little at [email protected].  

Football was previously the only sport that utilized a state-wide computer rating system to determine playoff seedings. However, starting this season, that will change.

Now, each region will establish its criteria for assessing ratings and formats, just as they currently do for other fall, winter, and spring sports. The VHSL will not release weekly scores, ratings, and top 20 rankings beginning this season.

Fans, coaches, athletes and media members alike are encouraged to follow the VaPreps Scoreboard for results.
