Four-star center Aliou Dioum includes WVU in final six schools

Four-star center Aliou Dioum has cut his list to six schools, and West Virginia made the cut. The 6-foot-10 big from Bella Vista Prep (AZ) is now considering Illinois, Mississippi State, Syracuse, UNLV, Wake Forest, and WVU.
Dioum, a Denver native, is ranked No. 113 nationally and the No. 11 center in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, but Rivals’ own rankings have him at No. 80. He’s set to visit Morgantown on August 30 as part of a slate that also includes trips to UNLV (8/24) and Mississippi State (9/14).
The Mountaineers offered Dioum after watching him closely at Peach Jam, where he averaged 13.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game for Team Melo. “I just got the offer from WVU after Peach Jam. They watched for two weeks straight before that,” he said in July, adding that head coach Ross Hodge told him he liked his motor, scoring ability, and how fast he runs the floor.
“I watch film every night with Coach, and go to the gym every day. I love hooping and working on my game,” Dioum told On3. “I go out and do whatever my team needs to win; block shots, rebound, run the floor hard, dunk the ball, knock down shots, whatever it takes to win.”
