Ross Hodge announces signing of four-star guard Miles Sadler
West Virginia head coach Ross Hodge has announced that the highest rated prospect in the modern era has signed with the Mountaineers in Bella Vista (Az.) four-star point guard Miles Sadler.
Sadler, is the 23rd-rated player nationally according to Rivals and committed to the Mountaineers over the weekend bypassing a long list of scholarship offers. His final six also included Oklahoma, Tennessee, Maryland, USC and UCLA.
“Miles is one of those players that makes everyone around him better,” Hodge said. “He is an elite competitor that is at his best when his best is needed. Miles is also an elite person who has the character to match his basketball talents. He also has a maturity that extends past his age that sets him up for immediate success.”
Sadler, 6-foot-0, 165-pounds, is the fourth rated point guard in the country and played this summer with the AZ Unity program on Nike’s EYBL Circuit where he averaged 13.8 points, 6.6 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.
Last year as a junior, he averaged 16 points, five assists, four rebounds and 2.5 steals per game.
The Canadian import had initially planned to take his recruitment into the late period but after an official visit to Morgantown for the TCU game and his ties to the staff elected to end the process.
A highly skilled guard on both ends of the floor, Sadler gives the Mountaineers a key future piece to build around on the roster after signing with the program.
