The West Virginia football program has added another commitment to the 2026 class with Bixby (Okla.) 2026 linebacker Trey McGlothlin picking the Mountaineers.

McGlothlin, 6-foot-2, 195-pounds, initially committed to Oklahoma State but backed off that pledge Sept. 24 and kept his recruitment open down the stretch run.

West Virginia was able to get involved and was able to secure a commitment from the talented linebacker down the stretch.

The Rivals three-star prospect held other scholarships from Wisconsin, Texas Tech, Kansas State, Arizona State, Iowa and Boston College, among others.

McGlothlin is a teammate of safety signee Emory Snyder from a powerhouse Bixby program.

As a junior McGlothlin recorded 72 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 3 interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns. This year he has 68 tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss, 4 sacks and an interception as one of the centerpieces on the Bixby defense.

The Mountaineers are targeting McGlothlin as a linebacker and he was initially offered by the program March 6 when defensive coordinator Zac Alley gave him the news.

WVSpots.com will have more with McGlothin in the near future
