West Virginia adds commitment from 2026 DB Jayden Ballard

Richmond (Va.) Manchester 2026 defensive back Jayden Ballard has flipped his commitment to West Virginia following an official visit over the weekend.
Ballard, 6-foot-1, 180-pounds, had been previously committed to Buffalo but announced that he was flipping his pledge to the Mountaineers after visiting for the TCU game.
The Rivals three-star is being targeted as a safety for the Mountaineers and was recruited by safeties coach Gabe Franklin. The Mountaineers first jumped into the picture when Ballard visited for the Utah game and he quickly set up a return trip.
Ballard has the ability to play all three of the safety spots and is the 28th commitment for the Mountaineers in the 2026 class.
