West Virginia lands prized 2026 OL Kevin Brown
West Virginia has landed a massive piece in the 2026 recruiting class with a commitment from Harrisburg (Pa.) 2026 four-star offensive lineman Kevin Brown.
Brown, 6-foot-5, 280-pounds, is one of the top offensive linemen in the 2026 recruiting class and gives the Mountaineers a major addition at a position of need up front.
The talented offensive lineman made his announcement on the Pat McAfee Show.
Brown had been committed to Penn State since July of 2024 but the coaching change in Happy Valley forced him to evaluate his options before eventually opening his recruitment. The Mountaineers immediately became one of the top options for Brown and he took an official visit to campus Oct. 28-29.
“They absolutely made me feel like a priority and it was special. They loved me and my family and told me I could compete day one,” he said.
It was during that trip where Brown was able to get a complete look at the football program as he was able to meet with all of the coaches as well as get an idea on what the Mountaineers had to offer. Brown would then take an unofficial visit to Ohio State but then elected to commit to West Virginia.
Brown is rated as the nation’s 29th best prospect according to Rivals and 53rd in the Industry ranking.
Brown collected a long list of scholarship offers including Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, Miami, Auburn, Missouri and a number of others.
Brown is the son of former West Virginia offensive lineman Tim Brown who played under head coach Rich Rodriguez during his first tenure with the program. Offensive line coach Jack Bicknell played a key role in his decision as well.
The Pennsylvania product is a massive addition for the Mountaineers on the recruiting trail and gives the program 29 commitments in the 2026 cycle.
Brown is the fifth offensive line commitment for West Virginia in the current recruiting class.
