West Virginia has gone to the junior college level for a commitment in the secondary from Hutchinson C.C. (Kan.) 2026 cornerback Da’Mun Allen.

Allen, 6-foot-3, 190-pounds, received an offer from West Virginia during an official visit to campus over the weekend and committed to the program following the trip.

The junior college cornerback also held offers from Akron, Massachusetts, Charlotte, South Alabama, Tulsa, Marshall, Western Michigan, Arkansas State, Coastal Carolina and others.

“I’m ready to get to work, ready to be a Mountaineer and meet everybody,” he said.

This past season Allen recorded 25 tackles and 4 interceptions and has two years remaining after spending his first at Northeast Oklahoma.

Cornerbacks coach Rod West served as the lead recruiter for Allen and was able to get him on campus which helped for the Mountaineers to secure his commitment.

The Florida native is a long, athletic cornerback that becomes the 33rd total pledge in the class.

WVSports.com will have more with Allen in the near future.
