Alabama basketball announces signing of center Collins Onyejiaka

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Head coach Nate Oats announced the signing of Collins Onyejiaka, who will continue his playing career at the Alabama men’s basketball program starting in the 2025-26 season. Onyejiaka is the eighth member of the Crimson Tide’s 2025 signing class that includes Amari Allen, Jalil Bethea, Taylor Bol Bowen, Keitenn Bristow, Davion Hannah, London Jemison and Noah Williamson.

  • Led Newman to its first NEPSAC championship during his junior season
  • Originally from Edo, Nigeria, Onyejiaka competed for Team New England and on the AAU Circuit
  • Competed at the 2025 NBPA Top 100 Camp

Collins not only plays above the rim, but he also will be able to provide vertical pressure on the rim and will be able to offer some additional rim protection. Not only is he one of the best players out of Massachusetts but he is also a proven winner, having just led The Newman School to a NEPSAC championship.”
