Auburn has done it again.

Just hours after two-sport star Tre Donaldson committed to Auburn, Omari Kelly has followed suit.

Kelly, a 4-star wide receiver from Hewitt-Trussville (Ala.), on Thursday committed to Auburn over Alabama and Kentucky.

“Auburn just feels like home to me,” Kelly said. “I feel great about my decision.”

Harsin, Williams played big role for Kelly

Kelly, who is ranked No. 192 in the On300, visited Auburn in June and returned for Big Cat in July. He’s familiar with the campus and the coaches, particularly Bryan Harsin and wide receivers coach Cornelius Williams.

“Coach Williams is my guy,” Kelly said. “We have a great relationship. He’s a really cool guy and I like how he coaches.”

Kelly also likes the trajectory of Auburn’s program under Harsin.

“I trust what Coach Harsin is doing,” Kelly said. “I like what he’s doing with the program and he’s going to do right by everybody at Auburn.”

Momentum continues for Auburn

Kelly is the second commitment of the day and fourth in the month of August. He joins Donaldson, who committed earlier Thursday afternoon, 4-star defensive end Caden Story and in-state defensive back Kobi Albert as Auburn’s August additions.

Kelly is the 11th commitment in Auburn’s 2022 class and second wide receiver. Jay Fair, a speedster out of Texas, committed to Auburn in July.

In 10 games as a junior, Kelly, who is 6-foot-2 and 180 pounds, had 39 receptions for 710 yards (18.2 avg.) and seven touchdowns.
