Clemson CB Andrew Booth Jr. declares for NFL Draft
One of Clemson’s top defenders from this past season has declared for the NFL draft.
Tigers cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. announced Sunday night on social media that he is moving on from Clemson’s program.
Booth is projected to be a first round pick after a sensational junior season.
The Georgia native had a team-high 3 interceptions, adding 4 pass breakups and 3 tackles for loss in 2021.
In addition to Booth, cornerback Mario Goodrich previously announced that he is also leaving for the NFL.
Clemson will be down at least six starters off of this past year’s defense as Booth, Goodrich, Xavier Thomas, James Skalski, Baylon Spector and Nolan Turner are all expected to move on.

To replace Booth and Goodrich, the Tigers have several young cornerbacks who gained valuable experience this past season.
Sheridan Jones, Malcolm Greene, Fred Davis and Nate Wiggins are returning and will battle this offseason for playing time. Clemson is also bringing in a couple of talented freshmen at cornerback in Jeadyn Lukus and Toriano Pride.
