Clemson stays hot on recruiting trail, lands another commitment
Clemson was hoping to gain some momentum on the recruiting trail from its big official visit weekend. It’s safe to say that is happening.
The Tigers have landed their second commitment of the day and their third of the week as tight end Olsen Patt Henry has committed to Clemson.
Henry announced his commitment on Twitter Tuesday evening after visiting Clemson over the weekend.
The four-star prospect chose Clemson over offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma, Florida State, South Carolina and others.
“I’m so thankful to all of my coaches for pushing me and believing in me on and off the field,” Henry said as part of his tweet. “With that being said, I’d like to announce my commitment to Clemson University.”

Henry’s announcement came just a few hours after four-star offensive lineman Ian Reed committed to Clemson and a day after four-star cornerback Avieon Terrell chose the Tigers.
Henry, who is from Naples, Florida, is ranked as the No. 315 overall player in the country and the No. 21 tight end in the nation, according to the On3 Consensus Rankings.
The 6-foot-4, 210 pound prospect is the seventh commit for Clemson in the class of 2023.
Henry joins Terrell, Reed, quarterback Christopher Vizzina, receiver Nathaniel Joseph, edge David Ojiegbe and cornerback Branden Strozier.
The Tigers recruiting class is now ranked No. 8 in the On3 consensus team rankings.
