GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Gators dropped a few spots in the latest Associated Press Poll following their 67-66 loss at Duke last Tuesday. UF is now No. 18 after being 15th in the rankings last week, while the Blue Devils moved up from fourth to third in the country.

Florida (5-3) is also ranked No. 18 in the new USA Today Coaches Poll.

The Gators rallied from a 15-point deficit late in the first half, eventually taking a lead on Boogie Fland’s 3-pointer with 34.6 seconds left before Duke answered with the game-winning shot.

Fland scored nine of his 16 points over the final four minutes and Thomas Haugh led the team with 24 points, which marked his fourth 20-point game of the season and sixth of his career.

Alex Condon also posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, including 10 second-half points. It was Condon’s fourth double-double this season and 13th of his career.

The Gators return to the court on Tuesday for the Jimmy V Classic against No. 5 UConn at Madison Square Garden in New York. Tip is at 9 p.m. on ESPN.
