Gators Online Show: UF begins spring ball, Russ Callaway promoted
Welcome to the Gators Online Show! For episode 42, co-hosts Zach Abolverdi and Nick de la Torre discuss the start of spring ball, takeaways from the first week of practice, Russ Callaway being promoted to tight ends coach and what Florida will do at wide receiver.
The show begins with a spring ball breakdown. Abolverdi and de la Torre share their takeaways from the first week of spring practice, react to the early praise for Graham Mertz and highlight some of the other notable comments from players and UF coach Billy Napier.
Abolverdi and de la Torre then give their thoughts on Russ Callaway being promoted from defensive intern to tight ends coach and how his hire impacts the position. They also discuss what Napier might do with the final opening on his staff: wide receivers coach.
The guys wrap up the show by discussing the series win over Miami for Florida baseball along with Colin Castleton and Riley Kugel earning SEC honors in men’s hoops.
