At 10-0, Florida State remains at No. 4 in College Football Playoff rankings
The Florida State football team’s 27-20 victory over rival Miami last Saturday was enough to push the Seminoles’ record to 10-0, and it also was enough to keep them in the Top 4 of this week’s College Football Playoff rankings.
After sitting at No. 4 in the opening two weeks, the Seminoles stayed there in the rankings released Tuesday night. They trail Georgia, which moved up into the No. 1 spot, Ohio State and Michigan.
Washington, which knocked off Utah last Saturday, stayed at No. 5 despite speculation that the Huskies might move ahead of the Seminoles.
Ohio State was No. 1 in the first two editions of the rankings.
Florida State, which is also ranked No. 4 in the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches’ Poll, is 10-0 with two games remaining in its regular season — a home date Saturday with North Alabama followed by a road finale at Florida.

The other two ACC teams in the new top 25 are Louisville at No. 10 and North Carolina at No. 20.
LSU, which Florida State defeated in the season opener, is No. 15.
