Report: Florida State - Alabama Kickoff Time Announced

Florida State will unveil a lot of “newness” when it hosts Alabama on Aug. 30 in a matchup of marquee college football programs. New coordinators will walk the sideline. A slew of new transfers will take the field. And a new, more luxurious aesthetic will line the West side of Doak Campbell Stadium.

And it will all take place under the Tallahassee sun.

According to a report Tuesday morning by Action Network college football reporter Brett McMurphy, the first game of FSU’s season will be played in the afternoon, not under the lights. Per McMurphy, Florida State and Alabama will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET with the game televised on ABC.

The Seminoles and Crimson Tide will serve as the middle leg of a week one ACC-SEC tripleheader on ABC. Syracuse and Tennessee (Noon ET) precede the action on Bobby Bowden Field. LSU and Clemson will follow at 7:30 p.m..
